COLLABORATION AS A BASE FOR DESIGN

Enrique Ramos 



Enrique studied architecture at Seville University and the Ecole d’Architecture de Strasbourg. He holds a Master of Science in Adaptive Architecture and Computation from the Bartlett, University College London.

Enrique has a wide experience in the design and development of large-scale international projects.

As an Associate at Foster+Partners London, he developed high-profile, complex projects such as Spaceport America (New Mexico) and Hermitage Plaza (Paris). He was the associate in charge of the envelope and computational design of the two 320m-tall mixed-use towers.
Previously, he had worked for Ateliers Jean Nouvel in Paris as a site architect during the construction of the Musée du Quai Branly. In 2008, Enrique had the opportunity to work for a joint venture of both companies, Atelier Foster-Nouvel, in the development of Walbrook Square, a 90.000m2 mixed-use complex in the city of London.

In 2009, Enrique left Foster+Partners to found esc-studio together with Silvia and Ciriaco. He is also an adjunct teacher at McGill School of Architecture, Montreal.

Silvia Polito




Silvia studied Architecture at the Polithecnic of Turin and ETSA Valles (Barcelona).

She has a wide experience in the development of large scale transport projects, having been involved in the design of several Airports and Metro Stations.

As an architect at Wilkinson Eyre Architects, she has been project Architect for three new metro stations in Beijing.

Previously, as an Architect at Foster+Partners, she was involved in high-profile projects like Heathrow East Terminal (Terninal 2) in collaboration with Vidal Asociados, and Stansted Airport Extension.

She has also a broad experience in landscape design and public space projects. Her diploma project, developed in collaboration with the renown Seminar of Architecture and Environment (SAMA S.C) in Seville, focused on the design and climate control of exterior spaces.

She is co-founder of esc-studio with Ciriaco and Enrique.

Ciriaco Castro




Ciriaco studied architecture at the University of Seville and ETSA Valles (Barcelona). He teaches at MIATD program in Seville and holds an MSc in Adaptive Architecture and Computation from the Bartlett, University College London.

As an architect at Amanda Levete Architects, he was involved in high-profile projects like News Internatioanl Head Quarters in London, and a cultural venue in the Belem district of Lisbon. he was part of the office’s internal research group attending sustainability issues.

Previously at Foster+Partners, Ciriaco worked on complex international projects including masterplans and housing developments in Milan and Kazakhstan, hotels and resort developments in Libya (Tripoli and Green Mountain), a tower in Rimini and office buildings in Masdar, the first Ecocity in the world.

He has a wide experiencein a wide range of projects including commercial buildings, hotels and resorts, sustainability strategies and research.

He is co-founder of esc-studio together with Silvia and Enrique.
