MA_2008 Plaza Fuente Nueva Martos (Spain) Public Space Surface: 3.750m2 ESC won in 2008 the International Competition for the design of the main square in Martos (Jaen, Spain), with a proposal that eliminated the existing roundabout, creating a public space for the community. GN_2008 Footbridge over the Arve River, Geneva (Switzerland) Competition for a new footbridge over the Arve River. The proposal consisted of a glass fiber reinforced polimer double deck, designed to minimise the amount of material needed to span the 100m separating the two sides. SV_2008 Boat Stop in the Guadalquivir, Seville (Spain). The Guadalquivir River had a tremendous importance in the development of the city of Seville, but until recently, it seemed to have been neglected by the planning authorities. A public boat transportation system would bring back the river as the back-spine of the city.
